About Our Club

A little history and background information about our club;
Who we are and what the club does.

THE CLUB

The Statesboro Kiwanis Club is one of 8,593 Kiwanis Clubs throughout
the world. Our club was organized in 1960. We have held an annual
agricultural fair and carnival since 1962.

THE MEMBERS

We are a group of about 150 men and women who live and work in
Statesboro, Georgia and neighboring communities. Our club is a
service organization. Our desire to serve the community is the
common interest that brings us together. Our service objectives
are generally expressed in the six Constitutional Objects of
Kiwanis. Membership is open, by invitation, to adults interested
in committing substantial time and energy to the club and to
    community service.

THE MEETINGS

We all meet for lunch once a week at the Kiwanis Fairgrounds, Fair
Road, Statesboro, Georgia to plan club activities and catch up with
our friends. Each week there is a speaker or other program of interest
to the general membership. A board of directors, elected by the members
each year, handles day-to-day business at monthly meetings. We are a
very social group. We are good friends and value the fun we have
    together.

COMMUNITY SERVICE

The community we serve extends from Statesboro and Bulloch County to
international projects. We provide both volunteer and financial help.
Our members contributed hundreds of hours of community service last year.
